The garter toss was really a riot, I laughed so hard. All those single men gathered together with a growing excitement while they watched the groom remove the leg garter from his bride. All of them were reaching and pushing into each other with the sole objective of being the one to take home the brides garter. One guy didn’t want to be in the garter toss contest, but the other guys persuaded him to do so, and this sweet little widower in his 70’s walked away with the lace garter. There was a big smile on the old mans face as he walked off with the garter in his hand.
The champagne flutes we raised for the wedding toast had the names of the wedding couple and date of the wedding on them and we were given these flutes as extra little gifts. After the toast it was time for the bride and groom to take their place on the dance floor for their first dance together as husband and wife. They looked so fantastic up there dancing together. Then it was time for the happy couple to leave the reception and begin their honeymoon, so everyone was yelling good bye and good luck. For the men in attendance, a key chain with a frog prince on it was given to them as a wedding favor. Each box had the name and of the bride and groom and the wedding date etched in them. The girls seemed to really like the thank you gift that my daughter picked out.
