I decided that the day I got married was going to be a memorable day for everyone that was close to me. So when I when to pick out gifts, I picked out things that they could remember it by. I wanted to get them things that would help them recall how exceptional both our reception and wedding was. Eventually I got to a wedding invitation keepsake after picking out keepsake gifts. There were a lot of wedding items to choose from on the internet, with suggestions of very nice items for both ceremonies and receptions. I was able to find everything I needed for my wedding reception as far as accessories go.
My reception table centerpieces had flowers and scented candles surrounded by lace in a ceramic candle holder. .
The place card holders I decided on were beautiful beaded picture frames that the guests could all keep after the reception. I made up my mind that the people at my wedding woud get practical favors that, afterwards, would be wonderful wholesale keepsake gifts. I just never saw the point to giving out wedding favors that no one can get any use out of. If it has no usefullness, it’s probably going to be discarded or forgotten. I did my best to make sure that the gifts handed out to our relatives and other loved ones were going to be remembered. So I chose bistro coffee mugs for each of our friends and family’s gift. They are very decorative and a coffee mug is something everyone can use. I didn’t even have to worry about repackaging them because the containers they came in were so classy-looking already; all I did was put a decorative hang tag on every one of them.
The Internet was a treasure trove of reception ideas and products. The cake topper we got ‘took the cake,’ so to speak. I opted to pick out one that would be significant to my groom and I.
We were playing football together the first time we met, in a friend’s backyard. So our first meeting was in the middle of a memorable tackle attempt on his part and I thought the topper I found with the bride and groom playing football was an excellent choice.
